Biographies- Olivia Beale

Olivia Beale is the youngest but tallest member of the company! Dancing has always been a part of her life, ever since she could walk. She would always dance around the living room with her siblings, putting on shows for their parents, dancing to whatever music was playing at the time, even if it was a TV show theme tune!

At three years old, Olivia began dancing lessons, and it has been her passion ever since. After taking classes at a few dance schools, Olivia settles at a local school and trained there in the I.S.T.D. syllabus, alongside Francesca and Theresa, for over 10 years.
Olivia has trained in Cecchetti Ballet, IS.T.D. Tap and Modern Theatre dance, as well as Jazz and Contemporary. Olivia is also a trained gymnast and was previously a gold medalist for Northamptonshire.

It was at GCSE and A Level that Olivia found her passion for Contemporary Dance, when she became inspired by the beautiful choreographic works of Akram Khan and Matthew Bourne. Olivia was captured by the intricate relationship between music and dance and how it has an infinite ability to evoke emotions.

After leaving sixth form, Olivia was torn as to what she wanted to do with her life, so she did what any responsible adult would do and left the country for a few months, where she traveled to Thailand with a close friend.
She missed dancing whilst on her travels and it was when she got home that Francesca came to her with the idea for Launch.

Olivia is currently studying a degree in Geography and Environmental Management at Bristol University and travels home to rehearse with the company. She is also part of the dance society in Bristol and competes in the Jazz and Contemporary categories around the country.

Of Launch Dance Company, she has said that she feels it an opportunity for the dancers to all share their passion with each other and reach out to different audiences and that she loves working with 5 other dancer who share the same desire and drive to dance and constantly be inspired by each others' individual strengths.
